City’s Aguero shines against Swansea

Sergio Aguero was the star of the night for Manchester City as he scored twice in his debut.

Manchester City defeated Swansea 4-0 in their first match of the Premier League season.

The fans at the City’s Etihad Stadium witnessed some fantastic football from their new Argentinean signing.

Swansea were no match for City.

Swansea’s defence kept City at bat till the 57th minute.

Dzeko put City ahead on the 57th minute after intercepted the ball in front of goal to tap the ball in.

Aguero came off the bench to the delight of the fans.

It didn’t take long for Aguero to score his debut goal for Manchester City. An overlapping run on the right from Micah Richards drew the Swansea defence to him which allowed Aguero to slot home from the far post on the 68th minute.

Aguero showed his skill again as he chased a seemingly dead ball to flick overhead and allow the other protagonist of the evening, Silva to stroke home a quick-fire third to leave Rodgers’ side stunned on the 71st minute.

As fans started to make their exit from the stadium seeing their team up by three goals, Aguero still had something to prove.

In injury time, a seemingly danger free passage of play resulted in the Argentine shocking everyone, with a thunderbolt from 35 yards that left the ground in awe of the talent in front of them.

The match ended 4-0 with Manchester City showing that they will be title challengers this season and the best of Sergio Aguero still has to come.

Man City manager Roberto Mancini stated after that Aguero will not be at his best for another "two to three weeks".

"I think he needs to recover as he only finished the Copa America three weeks ago," he told Sky Sports 1.

"He needs another two to three weeks to be 100%, maybe. For me he's a fantastic striker, young, and he's going to be a fantastic player for us."
