Milan fight back to earn point

Italian champions Milan did not start their Serie A campaign in the best of ways as they had to fight back from two goals down against Lazio in a match that ended 2-2 at the San Siro.

The visitors took a shock lead as early as the 12thminute when Miroslav Klose scored the opening goal.

Stefano Mauri floated a curling ball into his path and the Germany striker collected the ball magnificently, showing great footwork to weave his way around Alessandro Nesta and Thiago Silva in the box and coolly drive his shot past Christian Abbiati.

On the 21stminute, Djibril Cisse made it 2-0. Stefano Mauri served Cisse with a perfect cross to have the latter powering a powerful header past the helpless Abbiati in the Milan net.

Milan’s Ibrahimovic put Milan back in the match after he made the score 2-1. Ibrahimovic scored with a simple tap-in, after fantastic build-up play from Aquilani.

Four minutes later Cassano leveled matters to make the score 2-2. Aquilani took a perfect corner to meet the head of the Cassano who then made no mistake to find the back of the net.
