Valletta defeat Qormi to remain unbeaten

Valletta scored the first goal of the evening on the 18^th minute. Jamie Pace saw his powerful shot from outside the area beat goalkeeper Matthew Farrugia.

With one minute remaining in the first half, Valletta doubled the score when Denni Rocha Dos Santos’ diagonal shot left no chance for the Qormi goalkeeper.

On the 56^th minute, Valletta increased their lead by three goals. Michael Mifsud’s shot was blocked by a Qormi defender to have Alfred Effiong pick up the rebound and score.

Qormi scored a consolation goal thanks to a penalty on the 68^th minute to make the score 3-1.

Jorge Da silva Pereira was brought down inside the area by Steve Borg to have the referee immediately point to the penalty spot. Joseph Farrugia made no mistake.

Denni Rocha Dos Santos was voted BOV Player of the Match.
