Hibernians put three past Birkirkara

Hibernians were in control of the match from the start while Birkirkara could not seem to get started after their positive start to the new season.

The first goal of the match arrived very late into the first half. With just one minute remaining, Andrew Cohen’s cross was not stopped by Birkirkara goalkeeper Jorge Mora. Rudolfa Soares intercepted the cross and made no mistake in finding the back of the net to give Hibernians the lead.

Steve Pisani was very close to doubling the score for Hibernians when his attempt hit the woodwork on the 60^th minute mark.

Hibernians finallt doubled the score on the 74^th minute. Andrew Cohen was involved again when his cross found Edison Luis Dos Santos. Santos dribbled past the defence and the Birkirkara goalkeeper to easily place the ball into the net.

On the 78^th minute, Hibernians killed of the match when they scored their third goal.

Andrew Cohen served Edison Luis Dos Santos, the latter then passed the ball to Clayton Failla inside the area who then made no mistake and placed the ball into an empty net.

Edison Luis Dos Santos was voted BOV Player of the Match.
