Ten-Man Mqabba defeat Marsaxlokk

Mqabba managed to take the lead on the 29^th minute. Thiago Do Santos Mazzitelli shot was not saved properly by goalkeeper Reuben Gauci to have the ball make its way into the net.

Mqabba were reduced to ten-men when referee Alan Mario Sant sent of goal scorer Thiago Dos Santos Mazzitelli for retaliation.

Being one-man down did not seem to stop Mqabba as they scored their second goal of the match in the final seconds of the first half. David Azzopardi angled shot left no chance for Marsaxlokk’s goalkeeper Reuben Gauci.

In the final minutes of the match,  Marsaxlokk came close to scoring when Jean Paul Farrugia’s close range shot was cleared off the line by Pierre Grima.

Bojan Mamic was voted BOV Player of the Match.
