Milan leave it late to shock Barcelona
European champions Barcelona started their Champions League with a shock draw against Milan.
Surprisingly, Milan could not have started the match any better as Alexandre Pato scored in the first minute.
With Barcelona trailing early in the first half, the pressure started to mount on Milan.
Barcelona’s one-touch football was becoming too much for Milan to handle and it was becoming evident that Barcelona were in control of the match.
Barcelona finally scored the equaliser on the 36th minute. Messi flicked the ball between Nesta and Abate. As Messi shrugged off Abate's challenge he placed the ball across the face of goal to provide Pedro with a tap-in.
Barcelona continued to attack until the end of the first half, but the score remained 1-1.
Barcelona started the second half attacking and keeping ball possession right from the start.
On the 50th minute, Barcelona’s David Villa curled an absolute fantastic free-kick into the top left corner. Barcelona were now leading 2-1.
In injury time, Milan managed to score a shocking equaliser to finish the match 2-2 and leave Barcelona regretting all their missed scoring opportunities.
A Clarence Seedorf corner found and Thiago Silva who jumped highest to power the ball into the back of the net.
