Hibernians put four past Qormi

Immediately after the start of the match, Hibernians took the lead on the 2^nd minute. Off a corner by Clayton Failla, Edison Luis dos Santos beat goalkeeper Matthew Farrugia from close range.

On the 43^rd minute, Hibernians doubled their lead when Clayton Failla’s long-distance shot left no chance for Matthew Farrugia.

In added time of the first half, Hibernians made it 3-0 in a controversial manner. A great solo effort by Edison Luis dos Santos concluded with a powerful shot that was not held by the Qormi goalkeeper. The Qormi players protested heavily to the referee complaining that the ball did not cross the goal line.

One minute in added time of the second half, it was Luis dos Santos again who made it 4-0 for Hibernians. Edward Herrera’s cross was intercepted by Luis dos Santos to have the latter tap the ball in past goalkeeper Matthew Farrugia.

Edison Luis dos Santos was voted BOV Player of the Match.
