Last minute goal gives Floriana victory

Floriana pressed for a goal in the early stages of the match, but Mqabba’s stubborn defence and great goalkeeping kept the ball out of the net.

Floriana’s Christian Cassar and Pablo Doffo both had attempts on goal, but Mqabba goalkeeper Kris Calleja neutralized their attempts.

On the 57^th minute, Mqabba came close when Shawn Magro’s fine header was going for goal, but it was saved by goalkeeper Manuel Bartolo.

Floriana managed to score the winning goal one minute from time. John Mintoff’s cross found Ryan Darmanin who then went on to beat goalkeeper Kris Calleja with his low shot.

Christian Cassar was voted BOV Player of the Match.
