Qormi defeat sluggish Birkirkara

Qormi defeated Birkirkara 2-0 yesterday evening to earn the important three points that move them up to fourth place.

On the 55th minute, Birkirkara failed to take advantage of Qormi being reduced to ten men when Stuart Duff was sent off for receiving his second yellow card.

On the 58th minute, Qormi took the lead when Abubakar Bello-Osagie served Jorge Pereira da Silva who then beat goalkeeper Aleksander Canovic with his powerful shot.

On the 72nd minute, Qormi continued to show their dominance when Jonathan Bondin served Jorge Pereira da Silva to have the latter lob the ball over the goalkeeper to give Qormi a two goal lead and score his second goal of the match.
