Pedrinho the hero as Balzan defeat Qormi

Qormi started the match as the better side with numerous chances in front of goal.

As the match seemed to be heading for a draw, Balzan finally managed to go ahead.

The first goal arrived thanks to a great direct freekick by Pedro dos Santos Calcado who managed to beat goalkeeper Steve Sultana on the 84^th minute.

This was not enough for Balzan as on the 90^th minute in a counter-attack, Calcado managed to shake off the Qormi defence and beat goalkeeper Steve Sultana with his shot.

The Qormi side will surely regret their missed scoring opportunitie at the beginning of the match as Balzan now move just three points behind Qormi in the BOV Premier League standings.

Matthew Camilleri was voted BOV Player of the Match.
