Valletta defeat Hamrun to remain top

Valletta had a great chance to take the lead on the 5^th minute after they were awarded a penalty when Hamrun's Massimo Grima handled the ball inside the area. But Denni Rocha dos Santos failed to score from the penalty spot.

Valletta were again awarded a penalty on the 30^th minute mark. Matthew Gauci handled the ball this time inside the area and Valletta's Willam Barbosa scored from the penalty spot.

Valletta doubled their lead nine minutes later when Denni Rocha dos Santos beat goalkeeper Andrea Cassar with his shot after he received a precise pass from Dyson Falzon.

On the 86^th minute Valletta made it 3-0 when Gilbert Agius beat Cassar with his header.

In added time, Valletta scored the fourth goal of the match when substitute Ousseni Zongo beat goalkeeper Andrea Cassar with his rising shot from outside the area.

Denni Rocha dos Santos was Voted BOV Player of the Match.
