Birkirkara frustrated by Mosta

Birkirkara did not get the result they wanted against Mosta as they played to a goalless draw.

To complicate matters even more for Birkirkara, they had two players sent off as well.

On the 17th minute, Birkirkara were very unlucky not to score when Paul Fenech's powerful shot beat goalkeeper Jonathan Debono and hit the crossbar.

Birkirkara's Shaun Bajada had two great opportunities to score ten minutes into the second half, but both chances went just wide.

Shola Shodiya also went close for Birkirkara  as he hit the woodwork on the 74th minute with his header.

One minute in added time, Birkirkara's hopes of winning the match were tarnished when they were reduced to ten men as Moises Abila Perez was sent off for hitting an opponent.

Two minutes later Shaun Bajada was also sent off after receiving his second yellow card.

With this result, Birkirkara remain in fourth place on 20 points and Mosta reamin at the bottom of the table with 7 points.

Yannick Ossok was noted BOV Player of the Match.
