Carlos Tevez is edging closer to signing for AC Milan

Carlos Tevez: Milan have offered Manchester City a new offer for striker Carlos Tevez after city rivals met with City on Thursday. According to reports from Italy, Tevez and his agent held a video conference with Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani

Douglas Maicon: New Paris Saint-Germain coach Carlo Ancelotti is reported to be interested in signing Maicon from Inter. According to La Stampa, PSG director Leonardo has contacted Massimo Moratti and offered €15 million for the Brazilian right-back.

Petr Cech: The Chelsea goalkeeper expects to sign a new extended contract with Chelsea soon - but refuses to rule out the prospect of leaving the club one day. The 29-year-old has been a mainstay for the west Londoners since joining from French club Rennes for £7million in 2004. Reports suggested Andre Villas-Boas could sell Cech in favour of summer signing Thibaut Courtois - currently on loan at Atletico Madrid - but the Czech international is keen to sign a new contract.

Steve McClaren: The former England boss has been appointed FC Twente coach for a second time. McClaren quickly emerged as the favourite to succeed Co Adriaanse, who was sacked on Tuesday by the Enschede club, and the appointment was confirmed on Thursday afternoon. The former England boss led Twente to their first ever Eredivisie title in his second season before leaving to take charge of Bundesliga side Wolfsburg in May 2010.

Wesley Sneijder: Inter Milan star Wesley Sneijder does not think he will leave in the January transfer window, but has not completely ruled out a move. The Dutchman was throughout last summer repeatedly linked with Manchester United and the defending Premier League champions' recent blip had led to renewed speculation. United are thought to be lacking a creative influence in midfield and, with Michael Carrick struggling and Tom Cleverley injured, Sneijder is viewed as a solution. The player himself told Voetbal International: "If I must give a percentage for it, I think I am 90 per cent certain I will stay till the end of the season. "I enjoy myself here at the moment and at this point I don't have anything to choose from. "I don't say that I am 100% certain, because something unexpected can always happen."

Daniele De Rossi: The Italian international is still determined to sign a new contract with Roma. De Rossi will be out of contract in the summer and has strongly been linked to Manchester City, Real Madrid, Inter and Manchester United. De Rossi's agent is confident that the player will reach an agreement with Roma before the summer.
