Mosta crumble in final minutes against Hamrun

Mosta had the advantage and played the better match until the final minutes when Hamrun shocked them with two late goals.

Mosta took the lead on the 15th minute when a powerful shot by Jonathan Bajada was defelected by goalkeeper Andrea Cassar to find Obinna Obiefule pick up the rebound and score.

Hamrun were unlucky two three minutes into the second half when Anderson Mendes Ribeiro hit the woodwork with his attempt on goal.

Mosta doubled the score on the 66^th minute when Obinna Obiefule dribbled past a defender to beat goalkeeper Andrea Cassar with his shot.

Hamrun were unlucky not  to score again when Steve Bonnici's header was cleared of the goal line by Mosta's Kane Farrugia.

Finally, Hamrun managed to get on the score sheet thanks to a penalty being awarded to them on the 84^th minute. Gaetan Spiteri was brought down inside the area by Jonathan Debono to have the referee immediately point to the penalty spot. Dene Shields made no mistake by converting to reduce the gap.

Four minutes later, Mosta's dominance was shattered when Kevin Sammut's powerful shot from just outside the area beat goalkeeper Jonathan Debono.

Obinna Obiefule was voted BOV Player of the Match.
