FA Trophy: Floriana continue to progress

Floriana showed their dominance from the start of the match as they had numerous chances on goal.

On the 13^th minute, Ivan Woods was brought down inside the area by Anthony Eviparker to have the referee point to the penalty spot.

Floriana failed to take the lead as Ivan Wood's failed to score from the spot.

Two minutes later, Balzan  had a chance on goal, but Fagner Lins Bernardes' shot went just wide.

Even though Floriana had the majority of the chances in front of goal, the first half ended goalless.

In the second half, Floriana managed to take the lead on the 54^th minute. Off a Pablo Doffo free kick, Andre Grabowski's attempt on goal was partially saved by goalkeeper Fredrick Tabone, but off the rebound Grabowski's second attempt was successful to give Floriana the lead.

On the 63^rd minute, Balzan went close to equalising when off a free kick by Pedro dos Santos Calcado, a well positioned Anthony Eviparker had his attempt go high.

The match ended with Floriana advancing on their path to defend their title.
