Hamrun Spartans defeated Birkirkara 3-2 in what turned out to be a very exciting match.

Hamrun took the lead on the 17^th minute thanks to Gaetan Spiteri's goal.

On the 20^th minute, Hamrun made it 2-0 with a goal from the penalty spot from Dene Shields.

Birkirkara were back in the match when Rodrigo Pereiro scored from close range.

It was all square when Gareth Sciberras headed the ball in two minutes later.

Hamrun managed to shock Birkirkara on the 78^th minute when Anderson Mendes Ribeiro scored the match winner.

Hibernians FC - 5

Hibernians easily defeated First Division side Rabat Ajax 5-0.

Goals from Andrew (4'), Clayton Failla (14'), Peter Anizoba (17'), Edison Luis dos Santos (24') and Jackson Lima Siqiueira (79') sealed the win for Hibernians in this one sided match.

Mosta FC - 3
Xewkija Tigers - 1

Ten-man Mosta managed to come from behind to defeat Xewkija Tigers 3-1 and advance to the quarter-finals.

Xewkija managed to take the lead thanks to a penalty shot on the 44^th minute by Chris Camilleri.

Mosta equalised when Kurt Magro headed the ball in on the 33^nd minute.

Mosta went ahead on the 35^th minute when Florent Raimy scored from close range.

Mosta made it 3-1 on the 57^th minute when offa a cross from Obinna Obiefule, Zakaria Kibona scored on his debut.

St. George's - 1 (winners 5-4 penalties)
Lija Athletic - 1

St. George's managed to defeat fellow First Division side Lija Athletic 5-4 on penalties after the match ended 1-1 in regular time.

Jonathan Ruiz put St. George's ahead on the 20^th minute with his powerful shot from outside the area.

Five minutes from time, Lija Athletic were awarded a penalty. Keith Darmanin converted from the penalty spot to make it 1-1.

When the match went to penalties, St. George's managed to defeat Lija Athletic 5-4.
