Manchester United and Inter grab important victories over the weekend.
Manchester United: Manchester United managed to keep their dream alive of winning another Premier League title when they defeated Arsenal 2-1 to keep in touch with Manchester City. City had to work hard for their 3-2 victory over Tottenham Hotspurs.
Inter: In Italy, Inter managed to move up to fourth place with their 2-1 victory over Lazio. It was not one of Inter's best performances but coach Claudio Ranieri was happy about the three points. Juventus and Milan also were victorious.
Juan: Internacional defender Juan has confirmed that he is on the verge of signing with Inter. The Brazil Under-20 international has long been on Inter's wishlist after an impressive season in which he helped the club lift the Campeonato Gaucho and the Recopa Sudamericana. "I have passed a medical; thanks to God everything is okay," Juan is quoted as saying by FcInterNews.it. It is reported that Juan will spend the second part of the season on loan as Inter have already used up their non-EU quota.
Carlos Tevez: Paris Saint-Germain sporting director Leonardo has conceded that the French outfit are willing to "make sacrifices" to acquire the services of Carlos Tevez. "Tevez has a great contract with Manchester City and it's a difficult situation to deal with," Leonardo said, according to Le Parisien. "If PSG has an opportunity, we will do [a deal] if it's good for everyone.
Manchester United: Manchester United are believed to be interested in Tottenham midfielder Luka Modric as a solution to their midfield problems. Red Devils icon Paul Scholes recently came out of retirement to help ease the burden at Old Trafford, as fellow central players Tom Cleverley and Darren Fletcher continue their lengthy lay-offs.
