Hibernians punish Hamrun

Hibernians went close to taking the lead on the 10^th minute. Edison Luis dos Santos served Clayton Failla to have the latter shoot just wide.

Hibernians took the lead on the 22^nd minute. Off a corner by Jackson Lima, a header by Peter Anizoba went in the direction of Edison Luis dos Santos who beat goalkeeper Omar Borg from close range.

Hibernians made it 2-0 on the 45^th minute when Jackson Lima's powerful shot from outside the area left no chance for the Hamrun goalkeeper.

Hibernians remained the dominant side throughout the second half.

On the 73^rd minute, Hibernians were awarded a penalty when Lee James Agius brought down Edison Luis dos Santos inside the area. Clayton Failla made no mistake from the penalty spot to make it 3-0.

Johann Bezzina made it 4-0 for Hibernians on the 86^th minute. Clayton Failla served Bezzina who then beat goalkeeper Omar Borg with his shot.

In added time Hibernians added more misery to Hamrun when Steve Pisani scored the fifth goal of the match.
