Hibernians fail to keep pace with leaders Valletta
Hibernians and Floriana played to a goalless draw Saturday evening to both lose ground on leaders Valletta in the BOV Premier League standings.
Hibernians remain in second place on 48 points, six points behind leaders Valletta while Floriana remain in third place on 41 points.
The first half remained quiet with both teams producing very few chances in front of goal.
Hibernians' Andrew Cohen had his freekick on the 36th minute saved by goalkeeper Patrick Jansen.
Floriana went close as well just six minutes later, but Mario Muscat saved Ivan Woods' attempt on goal.
In the second half, Edison Luis dos Santos missed a good opportunity to score on the 49th minute.
Both teams produced more scoring chances in the second half to try to take home all three points, but the match ended goalless.
Patrick Jansen was voted BOV Player of the Match.
