Benitez meets with Moratti

Rafa Benitez had his first meeting with Inter President Massimo Moratti and brought in adviser Amedeo Carboni.

The new Coach flew in to Milan on Sunday to begin his Nerazzurri adventure and this morning arrived at the Appiano Gentile training ground.

For three hours he toured the facilities, then after lunch met with technical director Marco Branca and President Moratti.

The Spaniard brought in former Valencia player Carboni, who will act as his adviser and translator.

Benitez has not yet spoken to the media, as he will hold a Press conference tomorrow.

It is reported that the meeting discussed transfer targets, such as Liverpool’s Javier Mascherano, who confessed he is learning the Italian language.

Another alternative is Sampdoria midfielder Angelo Palombo, who is currently at the World Cup with Italy.

If Palombo is to leave Samp, he has also been linked with Juventus and former Blucerchiati Coach Gigi Del Neri.
