Hibernians keep pressure on Valletta

A goal by Andrew Cohen on the 24th minute was enough to give Hibernians all three points. Cohen was also voted BOV Player the match. Hibernians remain in second place with 41 points while Valletta sit at the top of the standings on 44 points with a game in hand.

If Birkirkara defeat Valletta today, they can overtake Floriana in the standings and move up to third place.

In the other match of the day, Mqabba shocked Mosta to come back from two goals down and play to a 2-2 draw. Obinna Obiefule scored for Mosta on the 40th minute. Two minutes into the second half, Mosta doubled their lead when Obinna Obiefule scored his second of the match with a header from close range.

Mqabba managed to reduce the gap thanks to John Nwoba’s header on the 50th minute. In added time Mqabba scored the equaliser when Bojan Mamamic picked up a rebound and scored from close range.
