Over 2000 Besiktas fans greet Quaresma at Istanbul airport

Ricardo Quaresma’s arrival has sparked great enthusiasm among the fans of Besiktas. Over 2000 fans flocked the airport to get a glimpse of the new player. Quaresma, who cost Inter €18,6 million in 2008, was sold to Besiktas for €7.3 million and has penned a three-year contract with Besiktas.

If Quaresma does not have fond memories of his time at Inter, his reception at the Istanbul airport will definitely erase any memories of that period. This will be Quaresma's fourth challenge abroad, after failed stints at Barcelona, Inter and Chelsea.

Ricardo appeared wearing the jersey with the number seven, and reports from Istanbul state the number seven jerseys are already selling like hot cakes.

When it seemed Quaresma’s career had come to a standstill, he has a wonderful chance to prove himself with Besiktas as he is already being treated like royalty.
