Unbeaten Hibernians win the Euro Cup

Hibernians defeated Floriana 3-1 and won the Euro Cup after winning all three matches of the tournament.

Hibernians pressed for a goal right from the start and the first arrived on the 19th minute. Off a corner by Jackson Lima, Adrian Pulis found the back of the net from close range leaving no chance for goalkeeper Jurgen Borg.

As the first half ended with Hibernians leading 1-0, Floriana did not waste any time in the second half to score the equaliser. A fantastic freekick by Emir Strati left no chance for goalkeeper Mario Muscat.

Hibernians were awarded a penalty on the 57th minute when goalkeeper Jurgen Borg brought Jean Paul Farrugia down inside the area. Andrew Cohen converted to give Hibernians the lead again.

Floriana were reduced to ten men on the 67th minute when Manolito Micallef was sent off after a foul on Marcelo Dias just outside the area. Off the resulting freekick Jackson Lima scored to give Hibernians a 3-1 lead and secure the win.
