Sliema and Floriana share the points

Floriana were first to score but Sliema did not take long to reply and score the equaliser.

The match started with Sliema putting the pressure on Floriana as they started to create opportunities in front of goal.

On the 12^th minute, Sliema's Alex Muscat missed a great chance with his attempt right in front of the goalkeeper.

Beppe Muscat also missed a chance to give Sliema the lead just three minutes later.

Floriana came close on the 28^th minute when Valdo Alhinho's freekick was deflected by Sliema goalkeeper Henry Bonello.

Floriana managed to take the lead on the 31^st minute when off a cross by Christian Caruana, Valdo Alhinho headed the ball in goal past goalkeeper Henry Bonello.

Floriana's lead did not last long as just four minutes later on the 35^th minute off a corner by Pablo Gonzales, Ivan Woods headed the ball past goalkeeper Jurgen Borg.

Christian Caruana failed to give Floriana the lead again when his attempt on goal went just over the bar on the 86^th minute.

One minute before the first half ended, Ivan Woods was denied a goal by the woodwork from his freekick.

Both teams had numerous chances in the second half, but the score remained 1-1 to have both teams take home one point each.

Valdo Alhinho was voted BOV Player of the Match.
