Valletta put three past Qormi

Valletta continued to defend their Premier League title with ease as they defeated Qormi 3-0 yesterday evening.

It was the perfect response for title contenders Hibernians who defeated Melita 3-1 in the earlier match.

Valletta did not waste anytime as they took the lead on the sixth minute. Roderick Briffa served Ryan Fenech with a perfect pass to have the latter beat goalkeeper Matthew Farrugia with his shot.

Valletta kept on pressing and almost scored on the 26th minute when William Barbosa hit the woodwork with his shot.

Valletta doubled the score on the 45th minute when Ryan Fenech scored his second of the evening.

The second half was totally dominated by Valletta leaving no chance for Qormi to get on the scoreboard.

On the 83rd minute, Valletta sealed all three points when Ryan Fenech served Roderick Briffa who went on the beat goalkeeper Matthew Farrugia with his low shot.
Ryan Fenech was voted BOV Player of the Match.
