Triganza goal sinks Hibernians

The match started with both teams having good opportunities to score in the first half. Birkirkara's Jhonnattan da Conceicao had his freekick go just wide on the 30^th minute.

Hibernians replied when Marcelo Dias had his attempt saved by Reuben Gauci.

The second half started as the first with Jhonnattan having his precise freekick this time saved by goalkeeper Daniel Balzan.

Both sides continued to create chances in the second half, but it would eventually the all important goal was scored by Birkirkara.

Just three minutes before the end of the match, Joseph Zerafa found Jean Pierre Mifsud Triganza with his perfect pass and the latter beat goalkeeper Daniel Balzan with his shot.

While Birkirkara are back to winning ways, Hibernians suffered their third defeat in four matches.

Marcelo Dias was voted BOV Player of the match.
