Tarxien add more misery to Floriana

The start of the match looked promising for Floriana as they took the lead as early as the third minute. Off a cross by Aman Verma, Tarxien Rainbows goalkeeper Nicholas Vella failed to hold the ball and off the rebound, Ryan Darmanin scored from close range.

Tarxien did not have to wait long to get back into the match as they scored the equaliser on the 17^th minute. A powerful freekick by Evaldo Silva Dos Santos was partially saved by goalkeeper Tony Warner and off the rebound Karl Pulo was there to slot the ball past the goalkeeper to make the score 1-1.

Floriana managed to regain the lead ten minutes later. A freekick by Aman Verm hit the woodwork and off the rebound Francis Jeffers headed the ball in goal.

Floriana failed to protect their lead and Tarxien Rainbows equalised on the 39^th minute.

Roderick Bajada served Karl Pulo who then made his way into the area and then served Danilo Meira Santos who then found the back of the net with his shot from close range.

Both sides continued pressing for the lead in the second half , but it would be Tarxien that would go ahead on the 73^rd minute.

Luiz Romulo de Castro served Danilo Meira Santos who then had his low shot beat goalkeeper Tony Warner to give Tarxien the lead for the first time in the match.

Tarxien Rainbows then handled the added pressure by Floriana to protect their lead and collect all three points.

Karl Pulo was voted BOV Player of the Match.
