Milan plan €36m Barcelona raid for Ibrahimovic
Zlatan Ibrahimovic is increasingly close to joining Milan, as the €36m would be paid over four years.
The Swede is a confirmed target for the Rossoneri, as declared by Vice-President Adriano Galliani, but his price-tag had seemed too much of an obstacle.
A plan is forming to bring ex-Inter striker Ibrahimovic back to San Siro just a year after his move to Barcelona according to the The Corriere dello Sport.
Ibrahimovic has not had a good season with Barcelona, with limited playing time and a dream of winning the Champions League going up in smoke when the team he left (Inter) defeated Barcelona on the way to winning the precious trophy without him.
Ibra has been valued at around €36m. If an agreement is reached, Milan would be allowed to spread the payment over a four-year period.
The biggest obstacle that remains is Ibra's wages, but it’s reported that Barcelona could help out with this situation.
The Spaniards will save around €50m over the next few years if they take Ibrahimovic off their payroll.
Therefore they would provide a €9m ‘golden handshake’ deal and that money would balance out the drop in salary for the transfer to Milan.
Barcelona have just signed Spain’s World Cup sensation David Villa, so there is precious little room for the Swede in this team.
