Qormi shock Tarxien with late winner

As both sides played a very defensive match, it would be Tarxien who came the closest to scoring very late in the first half. Andrezinho was very unlucky not to score when his shot hot the woodwork.

Andrezinho would not be denied when he found the back of the net on the 44^th minute. A direct freekick by Andrezinho left no chance for goalkeeper Matthew Farrugia.

The lead would not last long for Tarxien as Qormi leveled matters ten minutes into the second half.

Joseph chetcuti served Alfred Effiong to have the latter beat goalkeeper David Cassar with his shot.

Both sides had a number attempts on goal, till the final minutes of the match.

When the match looked like it was heading for a draw, Moises Avila Perez shocked Tarxien Rainbows on the 90^th minute when his shot from midfield surprised goalkeeper David Cassar to end up in the net.

Andrezinho was voted the BOV Player of the Match.
