Valletta brush aside poor Hamrun

With this victory, Valletta remain at the top of the BOV Premier League standings.

Valletta did not waste any time before they took the lead. Just two minutes into the match Demba Toure scored off a freekick by William Barbosa.

On the 23rd minute, Valletta doubled the score. Off another freekick by William Barbosa, Michael Mifsud left no chance for goalkeeper Andrea Cassar with his shot.

Jason Vandelannoite made it 3-0 for Valletta on the 33rd minute. Off a corner Michael Mifsud, Demba Toure's header was deflected by the Hamrun goalkeeper in the direction of Vandelannoite, who then easly scored Valletta's third goal.

Just nefore half-time, Michael Mifsud would this time get on the score sheet when his powerful shot left no chance for goalkeeper Andrea Cassar.

On the 55th minute, Valletta's Luke Dimech headed the ball home off a freekick by Michael Mifsud to make it 5-0.

Demba Toure made it 6-0 for Valletta on the 69th minute. Off a cross by Jason Vandelannoite, Demba Toure headed the ball past goalkeeper Andrea Cassar to put the match totally out of reach for Hamrun.

One minute from tine, Terence Vella was denied a goal for Hamrun when his shot hit the woodwork.

Michael Mifsud was voted BOV Player of the Match.
