Sliema look to progress to second round
Sliema will be looking for a positive result later this evening when they take on SK Sibenik after achieving a goalless draw in the away leg last week.
The Croatian team were thought to be stiff competition but the Wandeers produced a fine robust display to create a good chance of qualification.
The winners of the clash will meet Anorthosis of Cyprus or Banants of Armenia with the Cypriots firm favourites to pass the round after beating the Armenians 3-0.
Sliema have a good record of progressing to the next round in European competitions having done this on four occasions, in 1968 against Rumelange of Luxembourg in 1971 against Akranes of Iceland, in 1996 against Margveti Zestafoni of Georgia and in 2003 against Skonto Riga of Latvia.
