Balzan and Melita share the spoils as Qormi defeat Hamrun

With this result, Balzan edge closer to safety while Melita remain at the bottom of the table.

Both teams produced great chances to score, but at the end both teams had to settle for a point each.

In the other match at the Hibernians ground, Qormi defeated Hamrun Spartans 2-0.

Qormi managed to take the lead as early as the 14^th minute. A long-distance shot by Luke Sciberras left no chance for goalkeeper Anthony Curmi.

On the 90^th minute, Hamrun were reduced to ten men when Adrian Borg was sent off.

Qormi made the score 2-0 in added time when Leighton Grech scored from close range.
