Hibernians put three past Mosta

Hibernians now sit one point ahead of Birkirkara who take on Valletta in Sunday's big match.

Mosta took the lead on the ninth minute when off a corner by Danail Mitev, Ferdinando Apap headed the ball past goalkeeper Mario Muscat.

Hibernians managed to level the score just before half-time. Jeffrey Farrugia brought Andrew Cohen down inside the area to have the referee point to the penalty spot. Clayton Failla made no mistake to beat the Mosta goalkeeper to make the score 1-1.

Hibernians took the all important lead on the 73 minute when Edison Luis dos Santos had his low shot beat goalkeeper Jeffrey Farrugia.

On the 81^st minute Hibernians made it 3-1. Bjorn Kristensen served Edison Luis dos Santos to have the latter score from close range.

Bjorn Kristensen was voted BOV Player of the Match.
