Premier league players banned for life
Malta Football Federation issues ban for life against three football players for match-fixing.
A thorough investigation into allegations of match-fixing during the MFA's Premier League has led the football body to sanction three players for life.
Former Hamrun Spartans player Gaetan Spiteri, and brothers Jermain and Chris Brincat, of Floriana have been informed of their judgement.
Julian Briffa, also a former Floriana, Sliema and Mqabba player, has also been handed a life ban, but the MFA's prosecuting officer recommended a partial amnesty in reward for his cooperation with investigators.
