Esther Azzopardi to ref UEFA Women’s Champions League mini-tournament in Portugal

UEFA has appointed FIFA Referee Esther Azzopardi Farrugia to officiate in the UWCL 2013/2014 Qualifying Round Group 4 mini-tournament to be played in Portugal from the 08th to 13th August 2013.

The teams taking part with the Portughese hosts Clube Atlético Ouriense are FC Zürich
Frauen (Switzerland), Klaksvíkar Ítrottarfelag (Faroe Islands) and WFC Ekonomist (Montenegro)

Ms Azzopardi Farrugia - with Angela Kyriakou (Cyprus) as her assigned Assistant Referee - will be involved as referee / 4th official in the following three matches:

• On the 08th, as referee - FC Zürich Frauen vs Clube Atlético Ouriense at Fátima Municipal Stadium, Fatima.

• On the 10th, as 4th official - Clube Atlético Ouriense vs Klaksvíkar Ítrottarfelag at Fátima Municipal Stadium, Fatima.

• On the 13th, as referee - Klaksvíkar Ítrottarfelag vs FC Zürich Frauen at Municipal Stadium Dr. Antonio Alves Vieira, Torres Novas.

The other referees with Ms Azzopardi Farrugia will be Anastasia Pustovoytova (Russia) and Sara Persson (Sweden); while the assistant referees will be Angela Kyriakou (Cyprus), Albina Kretskaya (Russia), Anna Nyström (Sweden) and Vanessa Alexandra Dias Gomes (Portugal). Ana Sofia Soares Aguiar (Portugal) will act as 4th Official.
UEFA officials Jens Larsen (Denmark) and Katarzyna Wierzbowska (Poland) will be the Referee Observers; while Aubry Ralph (Northern Ireland) will be the Delegate.
