But the Swede's representative Mino Raiola insists that the forward wants to stay at Camp Nou and prove his worth.
"He has a contract with Barcelona and he wants to show his value 100 per cent," Raiola told Italian website calcionews24.com
"He is focused and he wants to start the season in style with Barcelona."
Railola also maintains that a return to Italy is highly unlikely.
Railola said: "All of the new stories talking of a return to Italy are totally without foundation."
