Ohawuchi double gives victory to Sliema

This would be Naxxar's first defeat of the season after they defeated Qormi and shared the spoils with Floriana.

Sliema had their first opportunity of of the match on the 20th minute when Stanley Ohawuchi was denied by goalkeeper Julian Azzopardi.

Sliema managed to take the lead on the 28th minute. When Pape Gueye's effort hit the woodwork, off the rebound Stanley Ohawuchi beat the goalkeeper with his shot to give Sliema the lead.

After a number of chances from both teams, Sliema managed to double their lead on the 78th minute.

Ohawuchi received a pass inside the area to then easily beat goalkeeper Julian Azzopardi with his shot.

On the 81st minute, Sliema missed a great opportunity to make it 3-0. Naxxar's Angus Buhagiar brought Ohawuchi down inside the area to have the referee point to the penalty spot. Alex

Two minutes from time Naxxar's Kurt Drago was sent off after committing a foul just outside the area. Off the resulting freekick, Bello-Osagie's was denied by the woodwork.
