David Beckham considering West Ham United move

The LA Galaxy star ponders a West Ham United move as contact has been made.

West Ham United co-owner David Gold has confirmed that the club have held discussions over a move for LA Galaxy and England midfielder David Beckham.

The 35-year-old, who is currently sidelined with an Achilles injury while playing for Italian giants Milan, has been linked with a move to Upton Park since Gold and David Sullivan took over the club in January.

The former England skipper is expected to return from injury soon before possibly making a return to Europe in January.

Gold revealed that he has held talks with Beckham’s agents and that the midfielder has promised to make a decision over his future.

"We had some discussions with David's agents a few months ago and it was a possibility," Gold told the The Sun.

"He's preoccupied with a few projects but he's promised he will give every consideration to the possibility of joining us."
