Eleven Premier League players suspended

The MFA Disciplinary Commissioner has suspended eleven BOV Premier League players after last weekend's matches.

Birkirkara duo Jhonnattann Benites da Conceicao and Ryan Scicluna picked up a one-match ban after their weekend match against Hibernians. Naxxar's famous win against the Valletta saw Andre Rocha da Silva banned for the Lions' next match while Steve Borg and Ryan Fenech will sit out the Citizen's weekend match against Tarxien.

Tarxien's due Steve Bonnici and Ronaille Calheira Seara have also been suspended for one match, as were Floriana's Emmanuel Ibok Edet, Qormi's Leighton Grech and Jose Filipe Caldeira Aguiar of Vittoriosa who will sit out his side's next match against Naxxar Lions.

The Disciplinary Commissioner also handed one-year ban for Sliema goalkeepers' coach and Valletta assistant coach Gilbert Agius.
