Lehmann returns to Arsenal
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed the club has signed for goalkeeper Jens Lehmann till the end of the season. This decision was made to ease the clubs goalkeeper injury crisis.
Goalkeepers Lukasz Fabianski and Wojciech Szczensy are out injured while Vito Mannone is out on load with Hull. Manual Almunia is the only goalkeeper that Wenger has at his disposal.
Lehmann made 147 appearances during his time at Arsenal between 2003 and 2008. Lehmann won the Premier League and the FA Cup during his time with the club. Lehmann retired in 2010 after spending two seasons with German side Stuttgart.
It was reported Lehmann was to spend six weeks at his former club to work on getting his coaching badges. It is expected that Lehmann will play as a goalkeeper and continue on his path of being a coach simultaneously.
