Floriana and Tarxien progress to the U*BET FA Trophy semi-finals

Floriana defeated Qormi 5-3 on penalties. The game ended 1-1 after ninety minutes and extra-time was played.

Joseph Borg scored to give Floriana the lead on the 58^th   minute.

Qormi equalised on the 71^st  minute when Jason Vandelannoite headed the ball in after receiving from a corner kick.

The score remained 1-1 and the winner had to be decided by a penalty shoot-out

In the penalty shoot out Floriana scored all five goals. Micallef, Doffo, Caruana, Farrugia and Woods were the scorers for Floriana while Qormi scored through Mifsud, Farrugia and Giglio with Souza seeing his shot saved by Towns.

In the other match Tarxien Rainbows came from behind to defeat Vittoriosa Stars 4-2.

Vittoriosa took the lead on the 26^th  minute when they were awarded a penalty. Anonam brought down Dos Santos in the area. Dos Santos made no mistake from the penalty spot to give Vittoriosa the early lead.

In added time of the first half, Tarxien equalised after they were awarded a penalty as well. Jeffrey Chetcuti brought down Lee Galea inside the area. Ricardo Costa converted to make it 1-1.

Tarxien regained the lead on the 63^rd  minute. Luke Vella slotted the ball in after he picked up a rebound off the Vittoriosa goalkeeper.

Tarxien made it 3-1 on the 73^rd  minute thanks to Ricardo Costa who headed the ball in off a freekick from Justin Grioli.

Tarxien made it 4-1 on the 80^th  minute. Daniel Mariano Bueno advanced into the area to shoot past goalkeeper Jean Vella.

Vittoriosa were awarded a penalty seconds before the second half ended. Edison Luis Santos was brought down inside the area. Jorge Santos Silva converted from the penalty spot to make it 4-2.
