Floriana back to winning ways

Floriana defeated Tarxien Rainbows 2-1 yesterday afternoon despite playing with ten-men for over 50 minutes.

Floriana took the lead on the 33rd minute when off a Christian Cassar freekick, Dragomir Draganov made no mistake by finding the back of the net from close range.

Two minutes before the first half ended, Floriana were reduced to ten-men. Pablo Doffo brought down Daniel Mariano Bueno from behind just before the latter was about to enter the penalty area. The referee did not hesitate to send Pablo Doffo off.

Despite being one man down, Floriana doubled the score two minutes into the second half.

Tarxien pulled one back two minutes from time. A cross from Calabretta found Daniel Mariano Bueno who scored from close range.
