Parma humiliate Inter as Milan move closer to clinching Scudetto
Palermo's thrilling comeback shocks Roma
Inter’s hopes of winning the Scudetto this season have been literally wiped away as they were defeated by Parma 2-0 yesterday evening.
With this defeat Inter are now eight points behind city rivals and leaders Milan.
Goals from former Juventus players Sebastian Giovinco in the first half and Amauri after the break sealed the issue.
Even though Inter had most of the ball possession, they could not find the back of the net.
In the other match Milan had no problem defeating Sampdoria.
Clearance Seedorf put in another great performance and scored just after the 20 minute mark. Antonio Cassano doubled the score 10 minutes into the second half thanks to a goal from the penalty spot.
Robinho wrapped things up with his goal six minutes before the final whistle.
Depending on today’s results, Sampdoria have a great chance of slipping into the relegation zone.
Roma’s new American owners did not start their adventure on a good note yesterday as Roma were defeated 3-2 at the Stadio Olimpico.
Roma took the lead on the 20th minute mark. Roma’s Francesco Totti put them ahead from the penalty spot.
Just before half-time, Palermo equalised thanks to Mauricio Pinilla’s goal from the penalty spot.
Roma were made to pay for their missed goal scoring opportunities as Hernandez scored a double to give Palermo a 3-1 lead.
Substitute Mirko Vucinic reduced the gap and scored to make the final score 3-2 in Palermo’s favor.
This defeat has further damaged any chances for Roma to finish in the top-four.
