[Watch] Goalie refuses to save penalty

A goalkeeper in Romania refused to try and save a penalty after being disgusted with a string of decisions during a game.

Vointa Sibiu were down to nine men and losing 3-1 in stoppage time against Petrolul Ploiest in Romania's Liga 1 when a contentious penalty decision finally saw the Vointa team lose the plot.

The team's eight outfielders left on the pitch decided to walk off the pitch in disgust, while goalkeeper Remus Danalache (only on because their first choice keeper had been sent-off), turned his back as Petrolul went to take the penalty.

The penalty was smashed into the net, but had to be retaken because it is against the rules for the goalkeeper to turn his back during a penalty.

Danalache did turn around to face the retaken spot kick but made no effort to save it as Petrolul wrapped up a 4-1 victory.
