'It's a new era for Maltese football,' says Norman Darmanin Demajo
"This is a brand new day and a new era for Maltese football" were Norman Darmanin Demajo's first exclusive comments to MaltaToday.
Contacted by phone while on his way to the MFA headquarters in Ta' Qali, the newly elected President of the MFA said that he was relieved that the election is now over, and that he was surprised by the overwhelming support that the clubs have shown towards him.
"After 20 years of MFA leading clubs to distance themselves, the time has come for the clubs to come closer to the MFA, and this is going to be my very first priority," Darmanin Demajo said.
He added that Maltese clubs have finally found the way forward and that he will immediately start working to return Maltese football where it deserves to be.
"I am here, ready and roaring to start..." the new MFA President told MaltaToday, stressing that "this brand new era is set to bring many changes to how things were done at the MFA."
