Live the Dream – McDonald’s Player Escort 2014
The McDonald’s Player Escort Programme is giving a lucky child the chance to walk into the stadium hand-in-hand with an international football star before a FIFA World Cup Semi-Final fixture in Rio in July.
According to Liza Bianco, Marketing Executive, at McDonald's Malta, "We are honoured to be able to offer this unique opportunity in Malta, as a token of our constant gratitude towards our local consumers."
Children from 51 countries will be taking part in the McDonald's Player Escort Programme in the summer. One child from Malta aged between six and 10 will live the FIFA World Cup dream in Brazil with a parent or guardian.
The McDonald's Player Escort Programme has numerous events lined up in Rio that includes accompanying players onto the stadium, football matches for children taking part in the programme from around the world, and sight-seeing tours of Rio.
Applications for children who would like to take part in the McDonald's Player Escort Programme must be submitted online at McDonald's Malta's website www.mcdonalds.com.mt. The winner will be announced on April 10.
In addition, as of this year, McDonald's has chosen to reward adults by offering them the opportunity to be part of the dream too. One lucky winner will enjoy an all-paid four-night stay in Rio, including flights, accommodation and a ticket to a FIFA World Cup finals match.
To enter the competition, customers must access the McDonald's Malta's Facebook Page at www.facebook.com/McDonaldsMT, click on the ‘Contest' tab, and answer questions in a short, football-related quiz.
People who answer correctly will join a weekly draw. One name will be announced every week for four weeks on Kontrattakk, the TVM 2 sports programme which airs on Sunday.
"McDonald's proudly sponsors such initiatives in order to thank children, as well as adults by rewarding them with unique memories that will live on, years beyond the tournament," Ms. Bianco concluded.
