Sliema and Mosta share the points
Sliema Wanderers and Mosta had to settle for a 1-1 draw.
The match did not take long to get the attention of the fans as Mosta were reduced to ten men just after eleven minutes of play.
Sliema’s Stanley Ohawuchi was on a good run when he was brought down by Tyrone Farrugia. The Mosta defender was immediately shown the red card by referee Marco Borg as he had stopped a clear scoring opportunity.
Sliema did not have long to take advantage of playing with the extra man as just eight minutes later Admir Vladavic was sent off after he received his second yellow card.
Sliema took the lead on the 32nd minute. Off a freekick by Trevor Cilia, Stanley Ohawuchi headed the ball past goalkeeper Omar Borg.
Mosta managed to score the equaliser on the 53rd minute when off a freekick by Antonio Carrozza, Manolito Micallef headed the ball past goalkeeper Henry Bonello.
