Under-19: Malta to face Scotland in double-header friendlies

The Malta Under 19 national team will herald the new season with two friendly away matches against their counterparts from Scotland in the next few days.

The matches, part of the team's preparation for Malta's competitive engagements later in the season, will be played on Monday 16th August at 19.00 hrs and Wednesday 18th at 11.00 hrs both at Greenock, Capielow Park.

Apart from enabling the coach, Michael Molzahn, to assess the physical condition of his players, these matches will be an opportunity for him and his assistant Josef Mansueto to draft new faces in the squad and try and fit them in his game plans.

Such a process is ongoing, and hence the need for these friendly encounters.

The group will be leaving Malta on a morning flight tomorrow Sunday 15th August and will be back on Thursday early morning.
