Vidal very close to joining Manchester United
Sources in Chile claim that Manchester United have reached an agreement with Juventus for Arturo Vidal.
Manchetser United are reported to pay a fee close to €60million to Juventus and €350,000 per week to the player.
According to reports in the player's homeland, the player, who starred for Chile at the World Cup in Brazil, told his agent Fernando Felicevich of his interest in joining United who has made tentative contact with the club.
Chilean daily El Mercurio believe that the player has struck a verbal agreement on a move to Old Trafford.
A source close to the player told the paper: "Arturo Vidal is to go to Manchester United.
"He has told his agent and they have a verbal agreement."
This latest development follows reports in Italy yesterday that Felicevich met with Juventus top brass to discuss the 27-year-old's future.
The most important item on the agenda of the meeting was United's proposal.
That deal is more than double his current contract with the Italian side and an offer which the club cannot match.
New Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri is also thought to have reservations about the player's future as United's mega offer would give him the funds needed to sign a top striker.
