Inter FC winter training camp to be held in Malta
Inter FC are in discussions with the MFA to hold their training camp in Malta this December.
Last week, MFA delegates visited Milan to hold talks with Inter’s President Erick Thohir and Vice President Javier Zanetti on the possibility of Inter visiting Malta for their winter training camp.
Reports from Mediaset confirm this meeting took place. Some small details are left to sort out before this visit can be confirmed.
According to reports, Inter are going to be in Malta for a week to prepare for the second part of the season. As well a friendly match against Malta’s National could take place as well.
With Inter’s Honorary President Massimo Moratti resigning last week from the board of directors and a negative string of results for Inter in Serie A, Inter’s President Erick Thohir still dedicated his time to plan the future activities for Inter with the Malta Football Association.
Inter’s Vice President Javier Zanetti has visited Malta on a number of occasions in the last couple of years, representing Inter and as well last April taking part in a training camp with all proceeds going to his charity, the PUPI Foundation. Zanetti is also Malta Tourism Authority’s brand ambassador for the Maltese Islands in Italy.
